Ranger

Ranger, with our 10 year old grandson.  Ranger, at 3 years old, weighed 90+ pounds, he had long curly hair, and a broad, blocky head.  Two more photos of Ranger are shown below (one standing with one of my grandsons, another of Ranger in my “lap.”

Ranger has a pedigree that includes 61 “certified” performance champions of one kind or another (mostly hunting and companion champions) among his recent ancestors that we have record of.  He looks much like his great grandfather, Style Belvedeer of River Ranch.

“The Big Bopper” was a “gentle giant.”  Ranger had rather lay at my feet (usually in he way) than just about anything else.  But he really enjoyed trying to out swim the ducks in the pond.  He never seemed to understand that he would never catch one that way.

ranger died in mid 2009 of complications of a disease which WENT UNNOTICED UNTIL TOO LATE TO EFFECTIVELY TREAT IT.  he waS MY CONSTANT COMPANION.  I WILL MISS HIM GREATLY.  (DON BARNETT)
